This grade 4 piece is filled with mystery as we imagine what our modern "trails" (roads?) might have looked like thousands of years ago.  What wildlife would we see?  Bison, deer, foxes, and panthers?  What would they look like moving over the rolling plains and through the tall, flowing grasses waving in the wind?

Ancient Trails was commissioned and premiered by the Edmond Memorial High School Orchestra in the Spring of 2010. This performance is by the Enid Symphony Orchestra from the Spring of 2011.
